Wear pads, also known as wear plates, smartpad or pipe
saddles, protect pipelines from wear and damage caused by
friction or movement. They are installed at contact points
where pipes exert pressure on supports or other surfaces.
These pads prevent direct metal-to-metal contact, reducing
corrosion and material fatigue.
